Our spirits are influenced by two heavenly bodies — Namely, The Sun and The Moon.
The Sun’s power is it gives us Light, vitality, abundance, magnetism, electricity, and warmth. Our food is dependent on The Sun. Therefore, our lives are dependent on The Sun.
The Moon’s power is that it influences our thoughts, sexual energy, tides, and our moods. The Moon changes every day. It goes through a cycle we can see from the Full Moon to the New Moon.
Observing this mystical cycle must have fascinated The Ancients.
Both The Sun and The Moon hold mystical power. We see it in our everyday lives, in Time, and in how our ancestors organized religious festivals.
In Christianity, calendars are based on The Sun. Easter is based on the Solar cycle.
In Islam, calendars are based on The Moon. Ramadan is based on the Lunar cycle.
In Judaism, calendars are a mixture of both. Hannukah is based on both The Lunar cycle and The Solar cycle.
Both the Sun and the Moon are powerful influences to us as the spiritual beings we were born as. No one came out of the womb practicing a religion. We were taught this. What we enjoyed first was living as a spiritual being in this world. Religion was imposed upon us years later. It changed our thoughts from the spiritual beings we were into something conformed.
However, we can experience that PURE JOY again through contemplation and conscious meditation on The Sun and The Moon.
