To forgive is to realise that life is too short to hold onto anger, hate or hostility. To see that we are all human and make mistakes. And that whatever that person did was from their own knowledge or habit at that time. The most important thing I can do for me and that person is to TALK ABOUT IT and TELL THEM how it affected me. Otherwise, there will be no lesson learned.
To be forgiven is also a Life opportunity to discuss… so we can heal, learn, adjust and move on.
Ultimately, we come to realise that there had to be a Divine reason for us to meet… so as to have this experience.
Once we come to that higher point, we’ve come full circle in the process of forgiveness.
Step one: Realise that Life is too short to hold onto anger.
Step two: See that we are all human and that Life presents us encounters where we will reflect, learn and grown.
Step three: If possible, talk to the person about how what they did affected you. Even a few words will go a long way!
Step four: Listen to their side, as they were involved in this situation as much as you were.
Step five: Realise that there was a Divine Reason you both had to go through this process.
Step six: Let yourself heal from the new information you gained from it… and, if needed, Forgive Yourself.
